The Clwyd branch covers NE Wales, including Flintshire, Denbighshire and Wrexham Maelor. Clwyd  branch covers planning issues as far west as the River Conwy.

Clwyd branch runs a varied programme which begins in the spring and includes garden visits and talks. New members are welcome to meet us at any event. Advance booking is required for most events.

Saturday March 11, 10.30am  AGM at The Tithe Barn, Hawarden, CH5 3LT
Followed by Talk ; Hawarden Castle 1660 - 1900 by Bill Pritchard. (Talk and coffee £3)

Bill has kindly offered to  give a conducted tour of St Deiniol's Church, Hawarden in the afternoon.

I am pleased to inform you that the Branch has arranged a visit to Hawarden Castle for the afternoon following the AGM and talk by Bill Pritchard in the morning of March 11.

For the morning talk in the Tithe Barn you may wish to use the car park by the Record Office and the former county library.

We will start with coffee at 10.30 for the AGM at 11.00
This will be followed by Bill's talk.

Those who opt to join us at the Glynne Arms will be booked for lunch at 1.00pm. There are other lunch options including the estate farm shop cafe, and the cafe at the St Deiniol's library.

The tour of Hawarden Castle will begin at 2.30pm. Bill Pritchard has also offered a tour of the church.
By car please use the entrance opposite Moor Lane and park in front of the Castle itself.

A tour of the garden with the gardener and a cream tea. £10

Those wishing to visit Pale Hall on April 11 please book by Saturday March 11 as we need to know numbers.
The hotel requires a deposit paid a month in advance to secure the booking.

Members can see the planting of the new knot garden which has benefited from the WHGT Small Grant scheme.

Friday 9 June Cheese and wine at Gwydir Castle kindly hosted by Judy Corbett and Peter Welford
This will be a fundraiser to help protect the Grade I landscape from flooding.

£25  talk lunch and garden visits (Bodnant is free for members of the NT or RHS)
